Preparations Begin for New Horror Film “Possessed”
Writer and producer Salah El Juhaini, in collaboration with director Yasser Al-Yasri, has begun the initial preparations for their upcoming film “Possessed” (“Mamsous”), with filming set to commence in the near future.
The film follows a horror-thriller storyline centered on a group of young people who embark on an extraordinary journey to uncover the truth behind some of Egypt’s most famous locations rumored to be haunted by jinn. As they delve deeper into their investigation, they encounter a series of mysterious and terrifying events that turn their lives upside down, transforming their mission from a simple exploration into a real battle against unknown forces.
“Possessed” marks the latest project from Salah El Juhaini, who continues to develop cinematic works built around innovative concepts and stories with broad audience appeal. He serves as both writer and producer, while Yasser Al-Yasri directs the film in an effort to deliver an Egyptian horror movie with high production values and a contemporary visual style.
The film stars Yasmina El Abd, Omar Raziq, Youssef Raafat, Abdelrahman Mohamed, and Tara Abboud, alongside additional cast members who will be announced at a later date.
Filming is expected to begin soon following the completion of pre-production preparations. The movie will be released in theaters after filming and post-production are finalized, offering audiences a unique experience that blends psychological horror and suspense inspired by the myths and legends that have long fascinated viewers in Egypt and across the Arab world.
